Worst (Bowl) Game Ever: The 2018 Redbox Bowl
Remembering one of the worst bowl games of all-time.
Bowl season is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only do we get to enjoy the last bit of college football during the holidays, but the random matchups between teams who usually don't play each other can lead to some classic moments:
Not every bowl game is a winner, though. Some are so heinous that they defy logic. Maybe it's because a team's head coach just left them for another job, or they're playing a bunch of young guys to get a head start on next season. Maybe it's just a weird clash of styles between two programs! Maybe it's the introduction of the transfer portal, plus guys opting out to save themselves for the NFL Draft –both of which don't bother me at all, for the record– which has thrown another variable into this volatile concoction. Whatever the case is, there's always a handful of stinkers each postseason that people immediately want to forget ever happened the second they're over.
That brings us to the 2018 Redbox Bowl between Oregon and Michigan State at Levi's Stadium.
