You want to know just how great Iowa running back Shonn Greene's 2008 was?

He finished sixth in Heisman voting, despite the Hawkeyes going 8-4 in the regular season, and never being ranked until after their bowl:

This wasn't just a 'Iowa/Big Ten reporters support their guy,' situation, either. He finished second nationally in rushing (1,850), scored 20 touchdowns, was named a First-Team All-American, and won the Doak Walker Award. By any measure, Green was legitimately the best back in the country. His magnum opus was a 217-yard, four-TD day against Wisconsin in October:
