Today: Marshawn Lynch's Cal Highlights
RB Respect Month Vol. 2, Day 14: Marshawn Lynch's career highlights at Cal
I have two main goals when it comes to everything I put on this site:
- To entertain you.
- To inform you. Even if you disagree with something I write, it's worth it if I've at least made you think, or feel like you learned something about college football.
When it comes to Marshawn Lynch, I don't think there's much I can inform you on that no one else has written about him over the last 20 years. He was a badass player, and a dude who more importantly has always put on for his hometown –my favorite city in the world– Oakland.
He was named a First Team All-American and won Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year in 2006. He's the second-leading rusher in Cal program history, and has the most career 100-yard rushing days of any Golden Bear ever (17). He once whipped a medical cart around the field after a win, always showed love to his teammates, and made sure to let us know he was shining 24/7, 365:
