It's the college football offseason, and you know what that means:
For those of you who aren't aggressively online and don't get the joke, Offseason college football Twitter mostly centers around people posting the same seven videos:
- Cam Newton's run against LSU in 2010
- Reggie Bush against Fresno State in 2005
- USC's team entrance against Alabama before getting destroyed in 2016
- Some form of 2019 LSU/Joe Burrow highlights
- Lamar Jackson/Deshaun Watson clips from 2016 Clemson-Louisville
- Tavon Austin at West Virginia
- The Texas-USC National Championship
Now look, I'm not here to discredit any of those videos. Those players/games are some of the greatest in college football history, and will always stand the test of time. All I'm asking for is some different material! There's too many highlights out there to only focus on the same ones each offseason, and that's where I've got you covered today.
I've curated one classic highlight reel from every team in the country that you need to watch to help get you through the next eight months. In full transparency, over 50 of these are my own videos. I won't lie to you - The main goal of this post is pumping my own tires –Subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already!– but I feel like I make the best CFB content on the internet, and I'm not gonna pretend like I'm not here to promote my own work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Anyway, here are some things to note before you watch:
- This isn't showcasing every program's "best" highlight reel, so don't yell at me when you don't see Reggie Bush, Bo Jackson, Percy Harvin, or Ted Ginn.
- A decent chunk of these were created by people in the early days of YouTube. That means the video quality either sucks, or there's music underneath them. If you're under 25, use these videos as an opportunity to appreciate how good you have it now. 80% of the football highlight videos your elders watched either had "Here Comes the Boom" or "Click Click Boom" playing in the background.
- Some channels don't let their videos be embedded, so you'll have to click on the link to watch them.
Lastly, I'm making today's post public for everyone, but the majority of the content on this site is for subscribers only. College football fans like you are subscribing at a higher rate than I've ever had, and I've got a ton more great content like this coming your way this offseason.
